The Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, and serves Latino senior throughout the Washington, DC metro area. The Center offers health and wellness services such as workshops, individual counseling, exercise classes, and support groups. Recreation and social/cultural activities include music and singing, dance, and art. A licensed nutritionist is available to work with participants to create meal plans. The Center also offers educational opportunities and provides transportation to and from the Center.

Services for pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to age 5

WIC is a federally funded nutrition program that provides nutrition, breastfeeding promotion and support, and supplemental food to pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to age 5.
WIC is a program that provides the following services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to age 5:

> Nutrition counseling and education
> Breastfeeding resources and support
> Nutrient-rich foods (Foods provided by the program supply calcium, protein, iron, and Vitamins A, D, and C.)
> Immunization assessment and screening
> Referrals to health and social service providers

Exercise/Fitness Programs

Offers education programs, health screening and various levels of exercise classes designed to help improve and maintain health.

Activities offered include book club, bible study, sign language class, healthy cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts, computer training, trips, social gatherings and line dancing.

Membership is FREE to all District of Columbia residents who are 60 years of age and older.

Through a partnership of the District of Columbia Office on Aging and Providence Hospital's Wellness Institute, the Model Cities Senior Wellness Center provides health, nutrition, and fitness programs for seniors. Educational learning opportunities and social activities are also provided. Membership is FREE to all District of Columbia residents who are 60 years of age and older. The Center is open to members Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
