This free, ongoing class teaches participants to pay attention to their level of stress. You will learn why stress, when left unchecked, can lead to disease and what you can do to interrupt the body's response to stress. Meditation principles are taught as well as other practices that can be used every day. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month from 6:30-8pm. Call 443-444-4100 to register. Our facility is handicapped accessible, and parking is free.

Project Power is a faith-based program targeting the African American community developed to provide churches with a foundation for integrating diabetes awareness/healthy living.

Project Power is a six-part train-the-trainer series provided in conjunction with Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) to integrate healthy living education into church life. It was developed to provide churches with a foundation for integrating diabetes awareness messages and healthy living tips into the life of the family and church. Long the epicenter of the African American community, the church is a natural gathering place for information sharing, offers strong leadership within the community, is genuinely concerned about the health of its own members and links them to the larger community.
