Project Power is a six-part train-the-trainer series provided in conjunction with Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) to integrate healthy living education into church life. It was developed to provide churches with a foundation for integrating diabetes awareness messages and healthy living tips into the life of the family and church. Long the epicenter of the African American community, the church is a natural gathering place for information sharing, offers strong leadership within the community, is genuinely concerned about the health of its own members and links them to the larger community.
